Our story
The five partners of No.5 Catering

Our story starts in a big kitchen in 1987

Our founder ran large kitchens for years before the family started feeding film crews as Somyos Catering Service in 2000. No.5 Catering is the brand the same team launched in 2026.

  1. Our founder starts running large-scale kitchens.
  2. She opens her restaurant at the nurses’ dormitory of Chulalongkorn Hospital.
  3. The family begins catering film productions as Somyos Catering Service.
  4. The same team launches No.5 Catering, its new-generation brand.

Questions producers ask

How much notice do you need to change meal times or numbers?

At least 24 hours.

Is there a minimum order?

Film and commercial crew packages are priced for 100 guests or more; smaller crews are priced case by case. The event buffet price list starts at 20 guests.

Can you follow a location shoot outside Bangkok?

Yes. We set up on-site kitchens anywhere in Thailand, backed by central kitchens and mobile teams, for 50–600 meals a day.

Do you cover overnight shoots?

Yes. Service runs 24 hours a day for non-standard schedules.

What food do you serve?

More than 500 Thai and international menu items, cooked by Thai and international chefs with over 20 years’ experience. Menus can be built to your budget.
